Mr Martin fully exposed and nowhere to hide!

Ron is a property developer who hasn’t developed anything for years. His name is dirt in the construction industry, trust me on this. I have dealt with most of the leading construction companies over the years in my career and from what I’ve been told I think it’s going to take a minor miracle for Ron to build this stadium, no matter who he’s in partnership with!
So even if we got the go ahead to start building it, he has still got to find a construction business to agree to build it?.

No…. He got one of the, if the not the leading, stadium builders in place. But the stadium specification has changed so there needs to be a rebid. From what I hear don’t fall of your stool if the builder remains the same…
The tenders were due in at the end of January but deadly silence ever since........no change there then ! ! !

Didn't appear to have too many issues attracting one of the top sports turf companies to build the training ground and one the leading stadium architects in the world to design the stadium- no idea if they've been paid mind!
Yes cos a £2 million pound training ground is the same as a £500 million housing and stadium development isn’t it.

Have to agree to disagree on that then.

Interest rates have gone up and building materials are higher than they have ever been before.

Fuel is almost double what it was in 2008 and energy prices are at an all time high.

Borrowing money is becoming increasingly more and more difficult.

Property prices continue to fall.

All of the above will have a massive impact on the FF development.

Also, up to the point Ron bought the club we still owned RH. That was quickly stripped from the club thanks to Ron

If he doesn’t get planning permission and start building the stadium in the next few months we’re going to be right back to square one again, apart from even more debt loaded on to us.
I agree with all of the highlighted items, which leaves us not much to disagree on other than the fact that

a) this isn't a credit crisis, it's a cost of living crisis, and
b) Ron hasn't stripped any assets from the club. Buying a club and putting the stadium in a separate company is not asset stripping.

But I'll be honest; I'm too knackered and don't have the appetite to try and explain it all yet again and I'm sure not many people have the appetite to read it, so I'll just leave it there. Life is too short and we have a game on Tuesday.

My last bit. The latest plans are excellent. It will be a ground to be proud of if built. I will enjoy the first game and will continue my fitness regime so that hopefully I'm still alive to see it
Really am wondering just what sort of ground we are now going to left with. The original design was a sunken bowl with the crowd noise of 22k being channelled to create a great atmosphere. We seem to have if the new plans ever materialize a cut price housing estate, reduced capacity with the stadium design secondary to how many flats can we get away with. The attached should give Ron some ideasFB_IMG_1677931205548.jpg

It would be truly lovely. But it seems however many times you demonstrate the alternative facts aren’t true it makes no difference..

SUFC has a dedicated active supporter base of 6k .... a united supporters group representing that is a powerful first step..

yada yada yada - get off your knees.... we can do something about this ...

Yes cos a £2 million pound training ground is the same as a £500 million housing and stadium development isn’t it.
Ha ha - there isn't one contract being issued for £500m for all the housing and stadium, so a contract for the training ground is highly relevant at the calibre of companies being prepared to work with Ron.

There'll be plenty of contractors lining up for the job - of all the things to worry about - there not being a contractor willing to work with Ron is at the bottom of my list

Mr Martin's scam is out there and now fully exposed. Southend United own no stadium, no training ground, not even the tables and chairs in the bar not even tea urn at the food stall and not even the beer pipes behind the bar, all these things were put into Mr Martins companies when he took over Southend United. The only thing Southend did own were the players contracts, even this has changed, Lopata has legally been allowed to walk away from the Club and his contract because he remained unpaid by Southend United for two moths. This now applies to any of the other players. That in a nutshell is why Mr Martin remains tongue tied.
Didn’t think they were unpaid for two months. January was late but feb was paid on time, so surely it’s only one month late

You are obviously too knackered to understand what Mr Martin has done. Have a good nights sleep. tomorrow as you walk to work if anyone on the street stops you to play find the queen amongst the three cards please walk straight past them because you will lose all your money and more!

Wrong again. Yes there will plenty of sub contractors working on the site but one main contractor will be responsible for the whole project and that’s who will be ultimately liable for the money if they don’t get paid from Ron.

Through the conversations I’ve had with some of the big players in the construction industry there are a lot of companies who won’t touch the development with a barge pole and those that will touch it will heavily overprice their quotes of the project to protect themselves as best as possible.

Ron’s most recent battle with HMRC and the courts is making construction firms more nervous than ever to do business with him.

If you don’t want to believe me despite my 27 years experience and contacts in the construction industry that’s fine with me, I certainly won’t lose any sleep over it.

First Ron Martin is not the developer. And 50% of the development is the billionaire Dallas. The stadium is being built by Populus!! The stadium is largely funded by Homes England!!! Please name some of these companies- I want to make absolutely sure I don’t own any of their shares…

Good Ron bot

Who is to say we wouldn’t have had an owner that already would have had us in the championship

When people start with ‘I’m not defending’ typically this is exactly what they are doing
Spot on. !!! “I’m not defending Ron, but I think we should all forget what he has done to us, and start to appreciate his good points “. ……… just remind us again….. what are they ?
