Breaking News We are the Consortium buying SUFC.

It would be really disappointing if after all we've been through there is a clammer from fans to spend money we won't have. I would be more than content, and I would hope all fans are, with being a L1 - L2 yo-yo club, after all that is exactly what we were. If there is a mention of us being a championship level club then that would be a very bright red flag that these guys are not the guys for us...
I hope you're right, it is the best way forward. Let's hope there are not too many on here with short memories.

Good news, at least we can now see light at the end of the tunnel.
I’m surprised that I’m still calm and not over excited. When the sale is finally completed it will be woohoo and beers galore.
But I’m just a little uncomfortable with the 🐀 hanging around for a few weeks more. The 🐀 can still f-ck things up for us.

I wholeheartedly disagree. We have a fan base and catchment area that is far greater than many Championship clubs and even some Premier League clubs, but I can't any reason why, in time, we can't become an established CH / L1 club - think Plymouth / Rotherham etc...

We were missing the right people and I genuinely believe we have that now. The good times are coming back and hopefully they're back to stay.
It is more than possible, in this day and age, to reach L1 and maintain that level, any higher you need someone willing to 'splash the cash'.
As an example there was an article in the EDP about 12 years ago in which it stated the Delia and Hubby had put in almost 20 million to Norwich, which they won't see again, as the higher you go up the leagues, the more you have to pay the players.

Ipswich have Freddie Ladapo in their squad and are 2nd in the Championship.

He was at the Fylde game, but i didn't see him on Tuesday night.
Stan is an employee of the club, so unless he resigns or is asked to leave, I can't see why that's not still the case. I agree with a previous poster that, with his up to date knowledge of the football scene, that an upgrade to a 'director of football' type position would be a good idea, if he wanted it. He may feel his job is done, which would be a shame in my opinion.

A few days ago I was delighted with the new ownership finally agreed to takeover but had reservations as to who the consortium was made up with. However now we know who the members are really over the moon with true blue representation involved and not some property developer.Obviously the proof of the pudding etc but it seems good times are returning.Just want the NL to lift the embargo so Kev and co can start to expand the squad
