Wembley tickets

Quite frankly I’m a little disappointed that COSU have been a little silent on this, especially like many of us they are based overseas or at least outside Essex. They won’t have any difficulty getting to Wembley and no coaches dictated for them, but hopefully they will have (and demonstrate) some empathy for us long standing supporters. Especially those some distance from Southend-in-sea.
You don’t have a clue what’s happening behind the scenes I’m sure they are working their arses off for this football club like they’ve done since day one

Tom Lawrence, our CEO and COSU member, has been far from silent, putting out a club statement, and working hard behind the scenes to try and resolve the issue as best as possible. Knowing Tom, I doubt he's had time to even sleep since Thursday! Once again, it's on the NL, everyone else is running around trying to sort it.

If - as the statements they have made suggest - the Safety Advisory Group/Wembley are doubling down on the restriction, and TfL aren't willing to shift the engineering work (why would they, they will have planned it a year ago, long before the NL booked Wembley), I don't see what the route out is here. The MPs etc can kick and scream but if the SAG genuinely believe any more capacity would be unsafe they're unlikely to budge. Is there any reason to hope that anything will change here, beyond the ongoing efforts to source more coaches? (Perhaps using a shuttle service to maximise coaches/coach parking spaces, as SUFC are investigating)
Bear in mind this also would impact on Wembley ability to function as the national stadium- if for any reason that station closes- strike, power cut, signal failure then only 35,000 supporters plus coaches can attend? Imagine an England game? Don’t believe this nonsense at all. The police don’t want the extra policing costs, a man with a beard and a knitted cardigan at the council doesn’t want to change his decision and Brent Council couldn’t care less….if anyone believes any of this I have a bridge for sale (and no not that one!)

Actually, to answer my own question, one positive sign is the bit of the TfL statement below which suggests that they think the arrangements they have put in place are enough "based on the number of people expected at the event" - perhaps if we blast through the allocation it will indicate that those expectations were completely wrong, and TfL will be forced to either abandon the work or put more extra services in place?
I find it hard to accept their statement you refer to, say's they have worked hard with Wembley stadium, Brent council, Met Police & the Safety Advisory group to discuss the expected predicted attendance .
All this in 2 days ( Thurs & Fri )?.

Well done mods for now banning this member until the playoff final is over!!
All he has done has voiced his opinion on the ticketing fiasco and because the season ticket holding moderators on this forum don’t really care as they have their tickets and to them his opinion doesn’t matter. I fully expect this post not to make it to the forum unedited but I thought I’d try anyway. I’m thankful I’m away for the game as I’d be as annoyed as him if I was trying to get tickets for my family through the correct channels and not relying on season ticket holders who have purchased extra to sell on.
I think it would have been better to just delete the post and send an appropriate DM
Look we do not need to turn on each other or the club when it’s the @TheVanaramaNL primarily and likely others away from the club and fans responsible. So I understand - I suspect Tom and CoSU are absolutely furious that this organisation that tried to put us out business (yes out of business) has spectacularly failed us yet again…

Thanks for everyone's patience. I have now managed to create accounts for my daughter and I on the Southend Kaizen ticketing site. It really wasn't easy for an olden like me!

So the question is who was so ignorant as to mislead TfL as to the likely attendance? Or did TfL say look this isn’t a problem but the police and the bearded man at the council with a knitted cardigan just ignored them?
There are parties to this not telling the truth…

I bet it's because their crowd flow/policing plans are all about channelling fans down Wembley Way to Wembley Park station, and holding them back in batches to control the flow into the station. They would need to come up with a very different plan if fans are leaving via other stations/coaches, perhaps including keeping people in the stadium after the final whistle. Perhaps they've concluded that this is logistically too difficult. Or perhaps they just can't be bothered to do extra work...

Expected clearly being the operative word. Expected based on other NL teams being in the final, surely?

Which is why we need the politician setting alternative expectations very, very clearly…

The top three clubs for attendance in the NL were all in the playoffs!!!!!!!! They cannot be that stupid?????

I’m not sure how easy it is to police this but was there not a way to have these initial 17.5k as train only and any other mode of transport was outside of that bracket. I’m driving so the trains don’t affect me. There’s also thousands on coaches that this won’t affect.

If there was somewhere on the booking website to put in either your coach booking reference on car park reference then train tickets could have been left in the same pot.

I don’t know how you police it. But it’s a bit presumptuous to assume we’re all travelling by train.

What can they say? They have been lied to be omission and hung out to dry. The temptation would be to share a demand for the Nl board resign on mass- but given how vindictive they are (even trying to out us out of business) I guess keeping his council and the club sharing what they have is all he could do. Same re CoSU

Their Twitter address is

@TheVanaramaNL

Please, both barrels..

One last thing. If I log in to my daughter's account, I presume I can pay (hopefully) with my own credit card?

What do you expect them to say? I’m sure they are working in the background to get something sorted and want to come out with good news.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I presume you have secured your ticket(s) today and therefore we are viewing matters from a different perspective from me? I am also presuming that you’ve not had to pay several hundred pounds in transport costs in order to guarantee to be in the UK next weekend. Apologies if I’m way off track here.
