I basically agree with this but then I also think back that we managed to sign Lopata so maybe there’s a slight chance.Golding we need to forget about. He'll almost certainly be loaned out to a league 2 team at very worst. Way too good for this level.
That was under Ron and it would appear he had no intention of honouring the agreement that was struck. Would we had got Lopata if we'd put forward a deal we could afford?I basically agree with this but then I also think back that we managed to sign Lopata so maybe there’s a slight chance.
Sorry, I shouldn’t get our hopes up.
Not sure we could find a plaice in the team for him.I would still be interested to take a look at Sonny Fish, who is a free agent after leaving Crawley. Not the best record yet, but the profile of player who could easily get into a groove and crack on.

Saw someone on Twitter genuinely suggest we should look into a loan deal for Charlie Kelman given how well he did at Orient this season…i really hope this is a sarcastic suggestion
After scoring all those goals in L1 I think Charlie has earned a crack at the NL.Saw someone on Twitter genuinely suggest we should look into a loan deal for Charlie Kelman given how well he did at Orient this season…

something smells fishy about all these posts and ive haddock up to my gillsHeard he is fintastic
A key part in the form since January. Defenders are never allowed a clean clearance when he is around, allowing our midfield to pick up second balls in dangerous areas of the pitch. Bim scored goals but he didn't do that hence why we didn't control games as well when Bim was upfront, and we picked up fewer points as a result.Sorry I forgot how good Hopper has been
But Kensdale was no goal threat when sent forward for set peices. Goodliffe's goal scoring and ability to win balls in attacking positions is priceless. Probably worth an extra five points in a season. The difference is that Kensdale’s main attribute was his ability on the ball in possession and that outweighed his defensive frailties.
With Goodliffe we’d be getting a similar standard defender without the bit that made Kensdale so good.
Interesting that barnet have taken a punt on kensdale with full knowledge of what happened. From what I've seen of Goodliffe, he's about the same standard as Kensdale was defensively. Both had a lethal mistake or two in their repertoire but, overall, both added value to the defence. My impression is that more than 50% of us regretted having to show Kensdale the door, so should not be unhappy if Goodliffe joined us permanently, if my comparison between them is shared. If we can get someone better than Goodliffe, I'd be all for it, of course.
I'm sure Barnet covered themselves in the contract. Also, Brennan doesn't take any nonsense. I'm sure he had an honest and frank conversation with Ollie stating that if that was to happen in his dressing room, he'd be out the door.Interesting that barnet have taken a punt on kensdale with full knowledge of what happened.
It was impossible to carry on or come back to us, but hope he turns things round and makes a success of it.
Why don't we transfer them to a different thread. Pardon the punReminder to keep on topic please chaps. We all love a pun, but let’s not clog the thread up with them. Transfer chat only. Cheers.
Absolutely this. He scored some cracking goals against really good opposition in a short period of time. Imagine having an opportunity to play a whole season and playing against some of those sides down the bottom who we normal struggle to open up. He's just the type of player to dig us out of those games from a set piece. All the best sides have a player like that in their armoury. It's imperative to have that in your side. But Kensdale was no goal threat when sent forward for set peices. Goodliffe's goal scoring and ability to win balls in attacking positions is priceless.
