Ok, looks like there won't be any more entries, will use this thread to track everyone's progress. Everyone's scores for the first two matches are below along with remaining lives.

Having thought about it, with the wide array of scores being predicted and the tightness of a lot of the matches, I've decided to increase the number of lives to 5. Trust this is ok with everyone, otherwise I can see people being out after 4 matches and it all being over by match 10!!

Of 48 matches, only 3 have been completely predicted one way (which doesn't include Brazil v North Korea, Dave Smiths Love Child could be in business if Kim Jong Il's boys can win 1-0).

Distribution for the first two games:

South Africa 7, Draw 15, Mexico 20
Uruguay 4, Draw 12, France 26

So after the first game there's a lot of casualties but 1-1 was one of the most common scores predicted for the match. Only two people going for a draw that wasn't 1-1. Uruguay v France prediction shown, a Uruguay win or a draw could see a lot of people dipping to 3 lives already. Can anyone make it to 7?

No surprise that I got it wrong! Despite predicting a win for France, I would prefer a draw.

Reporting from the pub. CyrilSneer is the only one to gain a life while old men Cricko and Blueblood keep themselves intact to remain on 6.

A whole set are down to 3 already. A couple of so called 'certanties' tomorrow to pull it back with.
