4th test

How dare you question the talents of Chris Lewis!! :madman:

He's the first name on the team sheet and for good measure I'm making him capt. ;)

Deserves the captaincy for suffering a baldness related injury whilst getting sun stroke in the W.Indies!!

Another team for selection

The Tail Starts At One XI

1. Devon Malcolm
2. Courtney Walsh
3. Monty Panesar
4. Peter Such
5. Phil Tufnell
6. Stuart McGill
7. Joey Benjamin
8. Bob Taylor (wk)
9. Corey Collymore
10. Glenn McGrath
11. Joseph Grant

Pietersen's on fire and he's really not taking many risks. Going along 20:20 style at the moment!

I have to say as well that keeping Nel on right now does not seem like smart captaincy. Then again Morkel's easy pickings for Pietersen at the moment and that's where all the runs are coming from. I couldn't offer him tips on how to bowl at Pietersen in this move. Try and cajole him on to 94 and bring Harris on I guess...

edit....or bring on Harris with KP on 88. Similar tactic!

Chris Martin has to be one of the worst batsmen Ive seen. Also, didnt Ed Giddins come in behind Malcolm or Mullaly in the order? AislaRoad Shrimper watched a test England v New Zealand with possibly the worst tail ever which had something like Mullally at number 9!

Peter Such was great value as a batsmen.....didnt he get the longest duck or something?

Ok then all three of them are in but I've got a selection headache on who to drop?

Just found the scorecard of the game AilsaRoad went to.....our tail, from no.8 was Caddick, Mullally, Tufnell, Giddins :stunned: Id imagine it was shortly after that that Flectcher wanted batsmen who could get a few runs!

I guess McGrath would point to a test 50 to argue against inclusion!

Cant beat Gavin Hamilton for allround skills though....test average 0 from two knocks....sounds like our own LeeBlue!

He was, and wasnt Morrison also really ****e, yet ridiculously prevented an England win by holding out for an hour...?

Yes, I remember that - 96/97 winter. We won the series 2-0 in the end, Atherton always batted well out there.

Our good friend Devon Malcolm scored 239 test runs at and average of 6.05. More interesting to note is that 70% of those runs came in boundaries.

Danny Morrison disappointingly averaged 8.42 with a highest score of 42.

Think for this XI we'll have to have a minimum of 10 innings batted in so on that front Ed Giddins will miss out.

Anyone find a worse wicket keeper than Bob Taylor?
