4th test

When was the last time a bowler, English or otherwise, made 50 runs?

ETA: Darn it! I went and cursed it.

Great stuff from Harmy.

Bit of a risky single, but Panesar's running is abysmal. He's slow, he doesn't back up and he doesn't anticipate. Is that now consecutive diamond ducks for Monty?

Missed all the fun through work. So back on topic, England fast bowler of the 60's David Larter averaged 3.20 in 10 Test matches.

Bald fast bowlers Seth Efrican Vincent Van der Bijl was follically challenged IIRC. I think Frank Tyson also had a propensity towards slap headedness.

Wasim Bari Pakistan wicket keeper of the late 60's early 70's averaged under 16 in 81 tests.

Clearly his beard is weighing him down thus hindering his running.

Did I hear right that James Anderson has never been out for a duck in Test matches?

The other odd thing I found out today is that the Saffers haven't given out any new Test caps since Paul Harris made his debut in January of last year. That corn't be raat.

Bad luck mate, it's a bugger when that happens, how do you stand for a refund?

Tell me about it....what made it worse, they were showing highlights on the big screen of the previous two days play in the nice weather. And then, just before we left they were showing an SA game in 2005 in SA....where it was even sunnier! :'(

Should get back half the ticket cost, so about £27 or near enough.

Its annoying cos I was looking forward to it....

Hopefully the weather will be better for the Eng v SA ODI later this month.....else I really wont be pleased..

(Although I have apparently won a manicure set in the SZ raffle so that sort of makes up for it.......:stunned:)

You should enjoy the manicure set mate, I think you won another equally valuable prize as well. Though I'm buggered if I can remember what it was.

Hope the ODI weather is better as I've go an invite for a corporate day for that game.

1112 - WICKET - Amla c Ambrose b Harmison 76 - SA 119-3 (30 overs)
Amla flicks Harmy for a couple down to Monty Panesar (wearing a sunhat on top of his patka today) at long leg. The Proteas now trail by just five. He then picks up another two with a slightly unconvincing prod to leg. But it's all over for Amla when he gets an edge, Ambrose thrusts out his right hand and - just - manages to hang on to it.

Can't think of a better way to start.
