Question Bas Savage

according to the tranmere os savage picked up the first booking of the game for an accumulation of fouls. Sounded more like he was incorrectly booked for violent conduct which should have been a red card

He was a mug! Played awful aswell. Makes the old Drogba look like a fair player!

a complete and utter ****. why he needed the countless rolls and why he wasnt booked for simulation atleast 7 times i dont know. Raise a hand and its a red so thats amusing in itself and the foul on Dorian in 2nd half was yellow worthy minimum. Suprised his gaffer kept him on!

What I saw was, that he possibly got fouled and then Macca kicked the ball away but it was too low and hit donkey square on the head. The rolling around was classic, and when he come round he was crying, and then the physio bottle feeding him = genius!!

Bas Savage today was an absolute legend - I got to the point where I was past caring about the result, I just wanted the action to involve him as he was pure comdey genius. Funniest moment for me, and there were many to choose from, was in the second half, he went splat chest and face first into the touchline, and it must have genuinely hurt - I have never heard anyone hit the deck harder!!

Interestingly enough, I know he is getting a lot of flack from our fans as not being the most gifted footballer, but last season, he came off the bench for Brighton and absolutely destroyed us in a 15 minute spell - and he is the kind of forward who if he is on form, he is almost impossible to play.

Luckily for us, today wasn't one of those occasions, and even luckier for us, his performance today will live long in the memory as the funniest I have witnessed by an opposition player for many a long year!

And had several people on here begging Tilson to sign him when his six month contract at Brighton expired that Christmas, too.

Was in hysterics at the rolling - really, really funny. Should have gone though, for the whack on Macca if nothing else.

I thought Savage should have been sent off but if he had then I dont think we would have won the game. The fact that Tranmere were pushing forward to try and get a winner allowed us space to create late opportunities to win the game. If savage was sent off and they put ten men behind the ball we dont have the creative players to have broken them down.

It's simple really. Is Bas Savage the most ridiculous footballer you have ever seen play at any level.

He more than worth the admission fee today. What an absolute clown. It is the only time I have ever seen a player go down to a backdrop of people laughing at him. The rolling around was hilarious. Although he should have been sent off, I would have been disappointed if he had.

He even outdid the woeful referee today as the biggest clown out there.

Weird, I said exacty the same thing to my kids as we left the ground.

It would be great to get hold of a video of his funniest moments, we could turn it into a movie and make millions, something for the Coen brothers perhaps??!!

Is he related to Robbie Savage? They look very similar....;)

I am not defending the bloke but if you were sat in the South Upper you would of seen the incident. Clarke belted that ball full pelt into his face! Ouch, that must of hurt so I kind of understand him rolling around like he had been shot because I wouldn't want a Clarkey bullet ball kicked in my face.

But I have to agree he is a joke and should of walked too.

Savage looked knackered after about 10 minutes hands on his hips etc. Seriously believe his diving and unsportsmanily conducted was due to him being not entirely fit so he decided to opt for a comedy role instead.

I must admit to having an Arsene Wenger moment and did not see that - I was too busy looking for the sniper on the roof who was obviously taking potshots at Savage!!
The bit that really angered me was the slow motion 360 degree roll he performed while holding his face - if he really was hurt was that really necessary? or was it a cheap attempt to get someone booked? or has he expanded on his moon walking routine with an old school breakdance routine?

That alone was funny enough, but we hit the jackpot with all those rollovers from Bas "The Lottery" Savage.

Bas Savage made it one of the best games I've seen for ages, at first I was angry, especially after his swipe at macca, but then you just had to laugh, he is the most pathetic man I have ever seen on a football pitch, (not including Mr Ward of course :whistling:) if I were a tranmere fan I would be so embarressed to have him in the team.
Did anyone see his face when our second goal went in, it was a picture :D
