I cannot work BBC essex on the internet! The stupid lady's recorded message keeps telling me that this current station is not available due to contractual reasons or a temporary technical fault. Is it working for anyone else?! really want to listen to the game!

It wouldn't have mattered if he was in Essex, Barna, it's the contractual reason that applies in this case. Therefore you can't listen to the commentary online from BBC Essex.
It has to be the radio, or Blues Player like you said.

Thanks.I wasn't aware it was possible to pick up BBC Essex(on the radio)outside Essex during games.

Yep, had forgotten you can't get it on the internet and as my Blues World subscription has lapsed I had to find a radio pdq.

too late now, but going forward phone a friend ands ask them to put the phone in front of a radio- Have had to do this a couple of times, if you have a speaker phone it works well---if a little low tech
