you can blame matt harrold, you can blame leon clarke, you can blame the team, you can blame tilly, you can blame brushy, you can blame the ref, you can blame ron martin, you can even blame the bloody ground if you ****ing like. but have you never thought that us, the supporters, could be contributing to the players backlash, if there is no commitment in the stands, how can you expect commitment on the pitch? get off the players backs. get behind the team, and make roots hall a difficult and intimidating place for teams and their supporters to come to. we may not be putting in an excellent performance, we may not be playing like barcelona, but its still a fact that we are grinding out results, if we were playing so **** like some of you make out to be, then we would be bottom of the league, but the players must be doing something right to be in the top 10. yes, times are going to get difficult, but football is not an easy game to play. face it, we are not barcelona, we are not going to go the whole season unbeaten, we are not going to win every match, we are not always going to give 100%, but its the result the team gets that matters, thats what most of you dont seem to understand. if any of those men who were hurling abuse from the south upper last week, do it against huddersfield on wednesday, i swear to god they will not leave roots hall in one peice.

Blame who you life.... You are on another planet love!!!

I can remember you being upset with those guys in the South Blues Ladies but you have to try and contain yourself and not stoop to their level.
In the heat of the moment things are said, blokes get wound up and often regret what they say later.
The reason why footy is the number one sport in this country is because of the passion and involvement it brings to the spectator.
Having stood on the North Bank for many years and before that with the "old boys" in the West i can tell you that abuse of players is nothing new.In fact the abuse of anything that moves on the pitch was often the norm.
Which is why you'll hear the older generation getting lairy now and again.
But as much as abuse you hear, you'll hear wit just as much.
In fact the funny things shouted out to opposition players has definetly lessened with the advent of home fans removed from the North Bank.

Which in my eyes can only be re-enacted via the Blue Voice, getting all those who want a laugh all in together. It's like a regeneration thing.

So try not to get wound up,some people just wanna moan at the game and that's it.

Sorry, but these threads are becoming increasingly boring...

Yes, we know you support the club a great deal and, Yes, we know you dislike the berating of players from the stand, but your threads are becoming as tedious and as boring as the threads you're moaning about.

Change the act, you're sounding like a broken record.

We didn't sing much at Huddersfield, and we're top. Hope this helps.

Don't blame it on the Flahavan, dont blame it on the Foran, dont blame it on the zoltan, blame it on the Harrold. he just cant, he just cant, he just cant score a goal, he just cant he just can't he just cant score a goal

Time of the month eh!! All women get it, don't worry, and all blokes suffer from it!!!

Nothing like a sharp witty response, eh, did it take you long to think that gem up?

The fact of the matter is that, no matter how boring she is getting, she is right - the constant abuse of our own players by those who back their footie judgement over Tilson's is having a detrimental effect on not only the player so abused, but all the team. How come you find that so difficult to accept?

Excellent post and I agree we need to get behind the team even Matt Harrold (as much to my dislike) LOL!

Have you seen this mad woman ranting about her horse in the Pub forum....it is defo PMT week lol:D

Blame who you like eh? Mega. In which case, I'm blaming Penny Picking Pete. Through the grapevine, I've heard that one of the players was in JJB buying a new set of boots, and when he got to the till, he realised he was 10p short.

'I'll be back in two minutes,' said the unnamed player. and with that, dived down the escalator into a high street full of single mums called sharon and Tracy, complete with kids Chardonnay and Brandon. Looking around on the floor for the elusive 10p, he heard the noise a coin makes when it hits the deck. As he went to get it, Penny Picking Pete barged him out the way and said 'Nice try sonny, this is my ghetto.' Pete took the 10p, and the player couldnt get his boots. Now the player doesn't play as well, and its all penny picking petes fault...

Good post, I agree with certain aspects of your comments.

I think that perhaps it's the expectation levels which have grown following a few years of success at Roots Hall and that rather than expecting success, some people are now demanding success.

One point I would like to add is that, if any player is NOT giving 100% then they fully deserve a mouthful from both the management and supporters alike.

All we can ask is that our players give us 100% on the pitch in return for our 100% support.

I'd sooner get beaten 5-1 having given 100%, rather than get beaten 2-1 and seen our players give a mere 85%.

Marvellous: that should show them how upset we are! Ritual bug*ery in the centre circle for any player not giving 100%. That would keep them on their toes! Or, perhaps not!
