Well done to all the travelling Shrimpers.

Bloody hell, good showing.

Apparently the fella upfront for them - Brunker - is a bit of a cult hero on account of the fact that he can't score. It's a bit of a running joke with the fans who keep willing him to shoot, just to see if he can hit the net!

Bet he scores today!

Bet he doesn't. Injured and subbed after 15 mins, hopefully not by somebody who can score!

Poleon on for Bruenker who is stretchered off with what looks like a bad injury, Poleon started his career as a youth team striker with Blues.

Any updates from loyal travelling Shrimpers.....please...ta

Five minutes to be added on. :winking:

Best chance of the game so far goes to the home side. Quick free-kick frees Gilliead whose low ball into the area finds Poleon but he can't get a clean strike on the ball inside the six-yard box and Southend scramble it away.

This really hasn't been the best of games so far but Blues, as the away team, won't mind too much.

HT: Bradford 0-0 Blues, fair result so far.

As it stands with Blackpool losing Southend move up to 11th.

Unbelievable double save from Oxley.

You won't see a better double-save than that this weekend! Free-kick comes in and is headed on goal by Dieng, Oxley saves and somehow gets across the stop the follow-up by Poleon
