This thread actually makes interesting, and entertaining, reading now that he has failed, and ended up pretty much where he started.

It's a shame for him, but the thread is worth a re-read!

I know Gary Hill the Woking manager quite well and he is gutted he has lost him, really turned their season around after losing key players to season long injuries. Thinks he has what it takes to be a league footballer

Always rated him, gutted we didn't we sign when back in league 2. People say that he did not do anything at Col U but that was because he only made 4 appearances:smile:.

Interesting stat here, while at Col U he has had 4 loan spells in the Conference National where he played 43 games and scored 21 goals. Now that is an impressive return.

Never quite understood it when people say we were lucky to not have sign him as it would've been high risk when we were in league 2, that record speaks for its self and it was only a league below us at the time.

I thought Dan was worth a punt, said so at the time when he trained at Boots and Laces.Would have been far cheaper than some we have.

To be released by Col U rather than just sent out on loan again it must have been pretty clear he's not close to what they already have...

Will be good to see him get revenge at the Lego brick stadium next season with Cheltenham in League 2.

He's been banging them in for Cheltenham. Scored 4 today!

Col U were desperate for goals and still binned him. That says it all.

What really says it all is that of all the managers in the League, only one was prepared to give him a go, and it didn't work. I know we all like to have a go at our own team once in a while, but to me it was always telling that no-one seemed to be that interested. Maybe the experts, you know, the people actually paid to run our clubs, actually do know more than us.
