Good if true. As some have touched on, does nothing but good for the clubs profile - look at tin pot Burton?

I have no feelings one way or the other, but I still think the manner and more specifically the timing in which PB was appointed created the scenario as to why PB appears to be more marmite than tango to many supporters.

At the end of the day, if he achieves promotion either via the play offs or automatically then he will have done the job for which he is paid to do and there will be less 'marmites' and more 'tangos'.

If he fails to acheive promotion then clearly it will be the other way round - I am sure that Southend are not unique in this regard either.
