Canvey Island Vs Southend United

on the OS the site where if anything happens with southend united it should be put on there in that case dont think it will be on there mate

Match ended 2-2, both Southend goals were scored by trialist Ed Upson, who has come through the Ipswich Town Academy, and is notable for having scored the winning goal in the F.A. Youth Cup final against Southampton at the age of just 15.

What sort of a side did we have out? Were there many Shrimpers there on the night? Did they issue programmes for the match?

Attendance of 180 - excellent and well done to all the Shrimpers who did not go tonight and thereby didn't put money into Canvey Island. Proud of you all.

Was anyone from here actually there?

Yes both April and I went, was a rather good game, Canvey taking the lead twice.

It was a very young looking side so id say more of a team for the future and not to help us get out of this mess.

Good to see Tilly and Brush in the stands (who where also out at 10am this morning looking at other players, after getting home at 4am this morning from leeds)

Couldn't give you a full line up as didn't have a SUFC team on the programme.

Also saw Maldon blue at the game with a few others

Ok, I was too intrigued so I looked into it.

Kieran Forbes - A 5ft 5in midfielder formerly of Watford. 18 years of age, he played once for Watford just over a year ago in the League Cup.

Josh Ford - A QPR Youth Centre Back who had a trial with Swansea earlier on this season.

Ralph Welch - A winger or striker formerly with Liverpool and then Blackburn. I can't find anything on him from 2004 onwards though!

I can't seem to find anything on John O'Keefe (surely it wasn't Stuart O'Keefe) or the fantastically named Denbele Alliou.

Well done, my son was going to go with some of his mates unfortunately some of the brown stuff had hit the fan during the day and he was not in the best of places to even remember the match was on.
