In Shoeburyness?.
Rochford, Prittlewell and Shoeburyness.....
In Shoeburyness?.
Rochford, Prittlewell and Shoeburyness.....
When I worked in a j cloth factory it was Prittlewell, near the Railway. Someone lost half a finger whilst I was there.
I've recently gone from producing conferences to developing online training courses, which is intellectually more challenging and less stressful deadline wise. (and pays more). At the same time, my wife has set up her own business so I help with that which is also challenging in its own ways (HR law, finances, winning tenders, etc)
I use to be a deputy manager at Southend Hospital, made 1 minor error and I was out on the door. At the time of my dismissal I was uninterested in nursing as 90% of my time was paper work and staying late unpaid. Seven years later I'm driving my own taxi and loving the job (most of the time). The money is a lot better, I'm my own boss and life is great.
Rochford, Prittlewell and Shoeburyness.....
Sort of reminds me of this:https://youtu.be/QO_CT3mcKrM

If you ever have to go to Shoeburyness
Take the A road, the okay road that's the best
Go motorin' on the A13
If you're looking for a thrill that's new
Take in Fords, Dartford Tunnel and the river too
Go motorin' on the A13
It starts down in Wapping
There ain't no stopping
By-pass Barking and straight through Dagenham
Down to Grays Thurrock
And rather near Basildon
Pitsea, Thundersley, Hadleigh, Leigh-On-Sea,
Chalkwell, Prittlewell
Southend's the end
If you ever have to go to Shoeburyness
Take the A road, the okay road that's the best
Go motorin' on the A13
I decided to change career as I knew a few people involved in the Lloyds market and they were all doing very well for themselves. So I started from the bottom at 30 years old earning less than half my previous salary and nearly 5 years on it's going well.
I'm in the Lloyds market now just lost all interest completely! but good for you glad you're smashing it!
Obviously neither of you have been there long enough to know that Lloyds is a bank, a slightly up-market Wetherspoons or a pharmacy and Lloyd's is the specialist insurance market....
Your afternoon is that boring you've decided to become a grammar ****

cut me some slack I don't normally bite on here at all however after a particularly bad day I took the bait."Become"? :stunned:

Please don't try and make me do it again!

I use to work in the claims department at Aviva and hated it. I'm now an underwriter and enjoy that much more, so I would say at least consider another role in insurance. If you want to get out of the office then I think a loss adjuster or surveyor is a good shout.I'm in the claims department at a Lloyds broker, yourself? I have thought about loss adjusting to be honest but like most things I'm not sure if its for me, I suppose you just have to keep trying until you find the right job for you.
