I suppose in commuting time Cambridge is not that far away. So he'd probably not have to uproot that much. I'd have liked to have seen him in DIV 1 but he probably knows his own capabilities. Anyway if PB is watching Carlton Cole a similar type of player is available? Also, I think SU just missed a good player in Steve Potts son?

I've been a big fan of BBBC's since I saw him play for us at Hereford in September, 2010. I think it's great that he's leaving us on a high and we'll be able to remember the good times with him. He's a real heroic force and I'm pleased that he's got another 2 years in the game after the dreadful injuries. He's been sensible in making the most of the recent TV attention and getting a good deal. All power to his elbows - except if *heaven forbid* he plays against us again.

Surely we must take this as a positive thing , if we can afford to let Corr go then our ambitions must be a lot higher in the quality of striker we can bring in , I'd expect to see a fairly decent striker join us soon

Thanks BBBC for the five years. Your last touch was the greatest and will be remembered by all who were privileged to see it. Let's all be thankful that you weren't obliged to take a penalty, otherwise history may have been written differently. :winking:
Time moves on for you and the club and only time will tell whether you and perhaps the club made the right decision. Good luck at Cambridge. Many appear totally shocked and cut up by your decision but NOTHING in comparison to 'Tangled up in Blue' who is obviously SO distraught that he has been incapable of posting. Oh yes he has........just above!!!

And with that, he was gone...

I've only just heard the news - and it is page 17 already - which says quite a bit about our feelings (although I haven't read all 17 pages you understand).

Good luck Barry - thanks for everything.

For once i'm speechless, something doesn't sound right about this, no doubt more will come out when PB puts his side of the story, gutted to lose Barry but nothing we can do about it now.

a mixture of sadness and relief - he would not have cut it in L1, hopefully that cuts our aimless punts forwards and encourages the passing game we are good at...but sad because he can do a great job as target man and that will be needed at times next season when chasing a game.
Anyhow, don't stress people, we have 2 months to get a team sorted!

two days ago people were saying we're saying what a great team spirit we had and you could see the togetherness of the squad. Corr takes a 2 year deal at a club close to us and his home when there were question marks over his ability in league 1 and there are suddenly issues at the club !!

If I remember rightly we did ok with Pig and Cassidy who started our good run. I liked Corr but think we need to move on, I don't think we can be as wasteful with chances as we were against Stevenage

Not that bothered was suprised we offered him a contract and although a good striker for league 2 some of the loving he got on here was over the top.
Work on your penalties aswell mate. Cheers

For Barry the brain decision must have been simple; double money, signing on fee, two year contract, no obvious risk to starting place in team, easier league that he knows, lower expectations/stress.
But I have no doubts that the nice guy's heart made him think and re-think the move.

I wish him the best.

Am sad to see him leave but maybe he thought L1 a bit too much for him (Borne out by his signing for a L2 club)
Thanks for four good years BBBC but

'The king is dead, long live the king'

How would this come back to bite us?? He may score 15goals in a league we are not in anymore

You're right, we are not in the same division as them anymore, well not for next season at least.....
As mentioned, however, we could easily be drawn vs Cambridge in any of the cups and what a game that would be.
