We not voting / justifying our selections ?

Who’s available? Can’t remember exactly who’s injured.

FWIW, I’d go 442...

Oxley in goal, Humphrys & Goodship up top, Dru & the Ozzie in CM, Kiernan & Lennon at the back. Probably Mac on one wing.

The rest is debatable depending on who’s left

Oxley,
Elvis, Kiernan, White, Ralph,
Mantom, Dru, Milligan, McLaughlin,
Humphrys, Goodship

Subs: Bishop, Lennon, Hutchinson, Hyam, Klass, Kelman, Robinson.

Really lacking depth and options out wide, would go with Mantom as a wide midfielder but Hutchinson has certainly staked his claim over pre-season. Would be tempted to give Robinson a role from the bench as an impact sub and give the opportunity to start to Goodship.

A few stats from pre season for anyone who didn’t really keep track :-

Games
Reading - lost 2-0
Billericay - won 3-2
Weymouth - drew 2-2
Exeter - lost 2-1
Dagenham - 1-1
Millwall - won 2-1
Gillingham - drew 1-1

Goalscorers
Humphrys - 3
Hutchinson - 2
Robinson - 2
Goodship - 1
Jordan - 1
Kiernan - 1

Assists
Hutchinson - 2
Mantom - 2
McLaughlin - 1
Humphrys - 1
Buckley Rickets - 1
Goodship - 1
Kelman - 1

Id go 433 for this

Oxley
Elvis Lennon Kiernan Ralph
Dru Milligan Mantom
Hutchinson Humphrys Robinson

Subs: Bishop White Hyam Klass Kelman Goodship McLaughlin

Easy to move it to 442 if required by swapping Hutchinson for Macca and moving him to LW

SOUTHEND United new boy Nathan Ralph is confident the Shrimpers can spring a surprise in League One this season.
