Should Michael Timlin have attempted to play his way out of trouble or hoofed it clear?
Think this is a bit of a no-brainer to be honest, especially with the benefit of hindsight. You hoof it every time in that position.
Of course it is.
But Yorkie is using this to try and prove a point...

The question could be asked like this.
With the benefit of hindsight should a player of hoofed the ball in any game played this season into row Z just before the other team scored a goal. Because if we had done that then we may not have conceeded a single goal this year.
Or another question. If we played a bit more football and outplayed our opposition would we need to be worrying about humping or not with a few minutes to play . YES or NO,
Yes but there is a time and place to play football which is not in your own area with 3 minutes left whilst your 1-0 up!. Plus we were getting absolutely murdered at the time so just get rid of the thing every time row Z.
Of course it is.

Good job Bobby Moore didn't take your advice in a certain game then...
3 minutes from time, GET RID!!
Typical know-it-all Southend fans, using hindsight to criticise a player for not playing the ball in a style they spent 90 minutes on Saturday criticising the team for.
You're damned if you do, and you're damned if you don't.
