Danny Emmerton?

Nothing to base this on at all, just wondered if we might be interested in him.

• He's been released today by Northampton (that normally happens at this stage of the season if someone has got somewhere to go, otherwise players sit out their contract)
• He was at Hull City from the age of 12, so presumably Brown might know of him
• He was bought by Aidy Boothroyd (who I think is one of Brown's chums)
• He's a nippy winger, which seems to be what Brown is after

As I say, this is a rumour that I'm starting rather than based on a conversation with Ron Martin's hairdresser, or some other person loosely linked to someone at the club!

Played regularly under Aidy Boothroyd, hasn't played since Chris Wilder arrived - guess it's just not worked out with the new manager.

Chaps, lets not start opening threads over every unattached player, this isnt even a rumour.

If we are linked to players then by all means make people aware but starting rumours threads with no substance is frustrating.
