DEADPOOL 2022

I went to the 2019 world cup warm up game against Afghanistan at the oval with Danny Greaves and we were talking cricket. He told me a great story about when he met Shane Warne and said what a funny and nice guy he was. Danny had gone to a corporate day at Lords and Shane Warne was showing them about, they got to the middle and Shane started showing them his magic deliveries. He said to Danny "Hey mate, do you want to go into Bat. I'll toss one up for you and you can tell your mates you hit Shane Warne for 6 at Lords". Thinking it was nice gesture Danny picked up a bat and waited for Shanes delivery. Shane ran in and bowled a turner that took Dannys middle stump. Shane then said "as if I'd let a c**t like you hit me for 6" and started laughing. Everyone found it hilarious and even hearing the story second hand made me laugh. RIP Shane

I only saw S K Warne play "in the flesh" just the once, it was at Lord's in 2014 for a Rest of The World XI against the MCC. one time team mate Brett Lee broke Warne's hand with a first ball "beamer"
