In a similar way to Rob Noxious who could not sleep and the only way to do so was to think of a Smokey Joe XI - see the Football forum - I had insomnia last night and Jack Russell dogs came to mind; and as a result I started to think of an England Cricket Xi made up entirely of dog-themed players. This is the result:

Graham Pooch
Paul Terrier
Gnasher Hussain
Joe Hardstaffie
Owais Shah-Tzu
Mutt Prior
Jack Russell
Robert Crufts
Matthew Doggard
Derek Hounderwood
Bill Bow-wowes

The Umpire could be David Shepherd in his dog collar, standing there calling Rover after each 6 balls.

Er, Viv Bitchards wasn't English. Otherwise I'd be claiming Wayne Spaniel. You need to come up with players like Mark Woof or Simon Bones.

If you think an England cricket squad has anything to do with being English then you definitely are barking up the wrong tree.
