My mate was one of the stars of Channel 4's Teenage Health Freak (who remembers that), and was a also a regular in a season or 2 in Byker Grove - would he count?

As we're now getting into 'associations with' rather than naming famous fans , about 25 years ago , I saw 80's pop star Paul Young at the airport with his wife and kids.
As he walked past , he dropped his boarding pass without noticing , so I picked it up and handed it back to him.
"Thanks mate" he said.
'mate' ?
He never tried to get in touch or to pay any reward from his pop star cash.
Bloody over hyped , trumped up ponce !
Anyway , Paul Young called me mate , so I'm a bit famous

Herol Graham? Unlikely as he was born in Nottingham.

It was actually Steve Collins the Irish super-middleweight champion of the world who used to come to a few games. It started when he came to watch us play Carlisle as his brother Rod was manager of them. I believe Steve lived fairly locally for a while.

I've just found out that a colleague's son is in the same nursery class as Jack Wilshere's son. He sees him nearly every day when he drops off/picks his son up.

That can only mean Jack Wilshere is a Southend fan.

Former world no.1 darts player and Sky Sports presenter Rod Harrington used to play for us in his youth.

I once met Lionel Richie at Heathrow baggage reclaim and as it turns out he doesnt support Southend, but he did once meet a Southend United supporter at Heathrow baggage reclaim.

If we are going down that route then Sir Paul McCartney sang happy birthday to me and he does not support Southend but sang happy birthday to a Southend United fan.

Bill Garner (very famous) used to play for our cricket team until he got carried away with his bat over someone's head.

His wife Stacey was from Southend and was the daughter of the guy that owned Smiths the greengrocers back in the day. She became a model, and a few of us tried to pull her at Tots, but she had a steady boyfriend. Then she got a role in a Paul Young video, and that was that. They are still married today, despite a couple of break ups. My mate said he saw her at a Southend game, but Paul Young supports Luton and Spurs.
