A full strength team out (and the best line-up I have put out to date) and a great toss to win in partially cloudy weather on my still green surface. 2 draws for them suggests a draw likely here, add in the sunny forecasts to that as well. My medium pacers Williams and Bowditch took 4-a-piece.

Very pleased with my progress over the last few seasons. I can't help but feel I'm punching a tad above my weight (especially in the rankings) but i've tried to have a balanced team skills-wise and i have plenty of experience and we're coming along nicely putting in decent shows against better-skilled opposition. A few slots in the side to fill in a few seasons when the oldies near their mid-30's and to improve but in general very happy.

Gatley seem a bit good.

We bowled out Seaside Special for 233, leaving us 18 overs to bat, and we finished 59-1. Bowling conditions tomorrow so will be pleased with parity, and then hoping to make inroads during the latter parts of tomorrow. Batting weather day 3 would be lovely.

Gatley finished 234-4, at least we got a bowling point. My default orders meant my weakest bowler bowled more overs than anyone else as he took Whalley's orders! Should be able to bowl them out from here, had we bowled first I'd have fancied our chances of batting 2 innings out in 2 sunny days. Ah well, we only have to finish 4th and I reckon we can best Angband so it doesn't make too much difference.

I only just scraped past Angband in the cup, though! Speaking of which, Dobcross played their two gun bowlers today for the first time this season and bowled Angband out for 344.
