ShrimperZone CC v Cricket is for girls

1st v 2nd and a very tough one to call, we have the stronger overall team but they are a lot fitter after exiting the cup earlier. Have rested Benji as he's on lively meaning Graham gets a very rare FC outing.

3 days of cloud in Essex, the quicker the game is over the better for me!!

Pettefershire CCC vs Oracs Knights

should be a relatively straightforward win if the oppo sticks to the weakened line-up he's been putting out in FC. Got a mixture of first teams and ressies in but resting several of the big guns (Horsey, Sookram, Barnes, Harmison etc) and letting the youth step up- Hamilton opens, and Cliffe makes his debut.

ripping into their bowling.

End of Over 9 (6 runs). Pettefershire CCC: 51-0, runrate=5.67
Overs left today: 101
Hamed 3-0-13-0
Thornley* 20 (24 balls)
Hamilton 29 (31 balls

No ripping of any kind going on here on either side.

End of Over 10 (2 runs). Cricket is for girls: 18-0, runrate=1.80
Overs left today: 100
Plummer 5-1-5-0
Baines* 9 (26 balls)
Shaka 9 (34 balls)

Playing an Ok side, but Ive rested my top 3 players for the all-important OD match on Friday. Also, just bought a new trainee and sold one.

Macca's doing well

End of Over 14 (4 runs). The Golden Elephant: 56-2, runrate=4.00
Overs left today: 96
Mccafferty 7-0-16-2
Gibbins* 26 (38 balls)
Julian 7 (10 balls)

Last Wicket: Wray c. Perry b. Mccafferty 18 (FOW: 48/2)

Alphin Lightning v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Playing a semi-bot this week, a good side but they're all knackered. We've rested everybody to try and regain some PFL. His default declaration is 400, so we've set everybody to V.Def to try and eke out some time. Then we just have to avoid the follow-on and we'll secure a draw.

We can tell you that Alphin Lightning won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking a little uneven. Should be tough for the batsmen on this partially cloudy and humid day.

End of Over 14 (4 runs). Alphin Lightning: 63-0, runrate=4.50
Overs left today: 96
Wilkey 7-0-28-0
Mcinally* 25 (38 balls)
Mangal 33 (46 balls)

Mid-Cup Barmies v DIBS DIPPERS

4th placed Mrs BB takes on the bottom of the table. She's also rested a few, although Stride and Mohammed both play.

We can tell you that DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a bit on the dry side. A fair bit of help for the spinners I think on this partially cloudy day.

End of Over 15 (9 runs). Mid-Cup Barmies: 45-0, runrate=3.00
Overs left today: 95
Rogan 1-0-9-0
Thimanka* 22 (43 balls)
Brinkhuys 21 (47 balls)

Geoff_Boycotts_Grandmother XI v Southend

We can tell you that Geoff_Boycotts_Grandmother XI won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this partially cloudy day.

SZ derby here. My bowlers fitness is shot, so I have Rennie bowling as 5th priority and Tsietsi will bowl some too. Won't score many runs though in this game, be surprised to make 200 in either innings.

End of Over 29 (1 runs). Southend: 56-2, runrate=1.93
Overs left today: 81
Askari 7-3-12-0
Davenport* 13 (44 balls)
Granville 19 (71 balls)
Last Wicket: Chill c. Montgomery b. Varney 15 (FOW: 33/2)

Inter Lancs -vs- General Stars

Fitness is a little bit of a problem but they have a cracked pitch and with bowler friendly conditions i got lucky and won the toss and im making hay against a side fitter and better than me. Im a point above them in the league and are probably (along with Sky Blues - who apparently dont want to go up) my main threat. Deane and Waterhouse miss out and have Hitchman and 17yo YP (on debut) in to bowl to help with the load so play with 7 bowlers...

Kev

End of Over 27 (8 runs). Inter Lancs: 82-4, runrate=3.04

But i have the small matter of this fellow to remove!!

whats stupid is that Davison is sublime fitness, and 142,000 BTR. Why he came in at no.7 I have no idea.

Bot bashing.

whats stupid is that Davison is sublime fitness, and 142,000 BTR. Why he came in at no.7 I have no idea.
I would hazard a guess that a hell of a lot of that BTR is wicketkeeping.

We're struggling big time, fitness has really taken it's toll. Roll on BT20 week.
