FC - Match 6

Well, we got the main man out but the other players are now doing their jobs. Am now happy it's sunny tomorrow as we'll probably be chasing a total!!

End of Over 42 (9 runs). Moss Side CC: 150-1, runrate=3.57 (1st Inn: 77-10)
Trail by 39 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 266-10)
Overs left today: 44
Schofield 11-2-31-0
Deevers* 66 (128 balls)
Garrick 10 (16 balls)

Last Wicket: Gooneratne c. Marriott b. Cattermole 66 (FOW: 131/1)

Big Phil gets one just before tea so we have 40 overs to remove the final 8 wickets.

The players are off the field for tea.

End of Over 46 (1 runs). Moss Side CC: 157-2, runrate=3.41 (1st Inn: 77-10)
Trail by 32 runs. (ShrimperZone CC 266-10)
Overs left today: 40
Schofield 13-3-32-1
Wood* 1 (1 balls)
Garrick 12 (32 balls)

Last Wicket: Deevers st. Lamey b. Schofield 68 (FOW: 156/2)

45.3 W Schofield to Deevers
Deevers down the pitch to that delivery, but it's evaded his bat allowing Lamey to gather up the ball and remove the the bails. Deevers, well out of his crease begins the long walk. Mcleod, at third slip, shakes his head in mock sympathy.

40 overs left to get the 7 remaining wickets

The players are off the field for tea.

End of Over 29 (1 runs). Commodores cc: 83-3, runrate=2.86 (1st Inn: 144-10)
Trail by 217 runs. (The Flying Scotsmen 444-5 dec)
Overs left today: 40
Mclaren 1-0-1-0
Proffitt* 2 (11 balls)
Osbourne 36 (94 balls)

Last Wicket: Davenport c & b. Mapira 26 (FOW: 79/3)

Wouldn't object to them batting another 35 overs for 40 or so runs.

Roke Island XI v BATTY SHRIMPERS

Pitch: Green
The players are off the field for tea.

End of Over 48 (1 runs). Roke Island XI: 94-7, runrate=1.96 (1st Inn: 118-10)
Lead by 115 runs. (BATTY SHRIMPERS 97-10)
Overs remaining today: 40
Glasby 14-7-26-3
Bird* 60 (141 balls)
Hooper 1 (25 balls)

Last Wicket: Jervis lbw b. Glasby 0 (FOW: 82/7)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can't see anything other than a draw in Mrs BB's game.

DIBS DIPPERS v The Country Club

Pitch: Green

End of Over 49 (2 runs). DIBS DIPPERS: 143-3, runrate=2.92
Trail by 242 runs. (The Country Club 385-10)
Overs remaining today: 41
Male 14-3-38-2
Potter* 50 (104 balls)
Bird 39 (141 balls)

Last Wicket: Murdoch c. Rowley b. Male 1 (FOW: 58/3)

End of Over 86 (Maiden). NorfolkENchance: 231-10, runrate=2.69
Trail by 54 runs. (General Stars 285-10)
Overs left today: 55
Guy 20-5-38-6
Dolezar* 115 (230 balls)

They reached said target after they put nigh on 50 runs for their last partnership which lasted over 20 overs. It took their number 11 45 balls to score, and when he did, it was a 6! Could have cost me the game as had i been 100 infront, i think i'd have won fairly comfortably!

End of Over 22 (3 runs). General Stars: 49-0, runrate=2.23 (1st Inn: 285-10)
Lead by 103 runs. (NorfolkENchance 231-10)
Overs left today: 33
Wallis 1-0-3-0
Waterhouse* 25 (62 balls)
Cavanagh 23 (71 balls)

Hopefully these 2 can pick the speed up so i have a lead of around 180 by COP tonight! Then got the awkward job of setting a declaration target!

Kev

BATTY SHRIMPERS have resumed their innings.

Ricketts* 0 (1 balls)
Brush 4 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Nagendranath lbw b. Arthur 4 (FOW: 4/2)

Mrs BB plodding along, will be a draw as long as she avoids the follow-on.

Trail by 170 runs. (The Country Club 385-10)

Midson 14-3-49-3
Ballard* 0 (1 balls)
York 6 (7 balls)

Last Wicket: Mackey c. Robinson b. Hoult 1 (FOW: 208/9)

Boo, we're going to win but we'll have to take the field for another day and take the fitness hit for some stupidly small number of overs.

Following my cup exit at the weekend, I'm having a mare and will lose by an innings.

It's all about the SZ Cup.

Managed to win the game with six overs of the day left, so quite happy with that.

The Flying Scotsmen won by an innings and 143 runs.

Commodores cc The Flying Scotsmen
Top Order: competent respectable
Middle Order: competent feeble
Lower Order: worthless worthless
Seam Bowling: feeble competent
Spin Bowling: feeble mediocre
Fielding: woeful abysmal

Makes the table interesting, in that I'm favourite for promotion. I am top with 6 wins out of 6, however am also focusing my attention on the OD league to make sure I stay up in Level V so who know how much my team could vary - not over until its over!!

FC League Table

1 - The Flying Scotsman 130pts
2 - The Hissy Fits 103pts
3 - fozzy specials 95 pts

Need 52 tomorrow to win. Will wait to see what fitness hit my bowlers get for turning up in the dressing room.

won by 9 wickets in what, it's fair to say, was a bowler's game.

them: 65 all out
us: 154 all out
them: 166 all out
us: 77-1

ratings:

Pettefershire CCC wicket wizards
Top Order: strong superb
Middle Order: strong proficient
Lower Order: abysmal woeful
Seam Bowling: wonderful remarkable
Spin Bowling: exceptional superb
Fielding: feeble competent

Closed on 170-1 so am 220 ahead. Will pile on a quick hundred and should then have 80 overs, at least, to win the game. Raven will not bowl so just have 4 bowlers in use and i fear i might have to use Deane as a bowler for the OD match on Friday!!

I need 58 to win, with 4 wickets left, however Pollock and Asher are still there. All down to these 2, as the others will be lucky to get 5 between them. Batting should be easier today as it's Cracked / Sunny, rather than the PC+H it's been for the last 2 days.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mrs BB has to bat 70 overs to get a draw

Not the best start to our little run chase!

End of Over 5 (Maiden). ShrimperZone CC: 12-2, runrate=2.40 (1st Inn: 266-10)
Trail by 50 runs. (Moss Side CC 77-10 & 251-10)
Overs left today: 108
Boyce 3-1-11-1
Lamey* 0 (0 balls)
Sandile 0 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Sinethemba c. Gray b. Boyce 12 (FOW: 12/2)

Lost Lamo as well but Macca wants to get to the bar early so is finishing it off.

End of Over 16 (11 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 48-3, runrate=3.00 (1st Inn: 266-10)
Trail by 14 runs. (Moss Side CC 77-10 & 251-10)
Overs left today: 97
Nugent 8-1-26-2
Sandile* 17 (43 balls)
Mcleod 12 (10 balls)

Last Wicket: Lamey c. Garrick b. Nugent 5 (FOW: 28/3)

15.6 4 Nugent to Mcleod
That is a magnificent pull. Too short and Mcleod positively pounds it over midwicket. My goodness that went hard and fast.
15.5 4 Nugent to Mcleod
The crowd are chanting "Mcleod's barmy army" as the batsman bludgeons that perfectly decent delivery from Nugent to the long off boundary.

All done.

And that's the end of the match. ShrimperZone CC won by 7 wickets.

End of Over 22 (5 runs). ShrimperZone CC: 65-3, runrate=2.95 (1st Inn: 266-10)
Lead by 3 runs. (Moss Side CC 77-10 & 251-10)
Overs left today: 91
Gray 1-0-11-0
Mcleod* 19 (27 balls)
Sandile 27 (60 balls)

Last Wicket: Lamey c. Garrick b. Nugent 5 (FOW: 28/3)

Everyone set to V.defensive, think this'll be a draw.

End of Over 34 (4 runs). Southend United: 136-0, runrate=4.00 (1st Inn: 362-3 dec)
Trail by 4 runs. (monkey spunk mopeds 502-5 dec)
Overs left today: 85
Spring 3-0-11-0
Wright* 76 (114 balls)

Got my total upto required standards after 30 overs and then bowled them out in less than 40 overs and won by 252 runs.
