First Dance Song at your Wedding...

Also not seen this thread before - Procul Harum's "Whiter Shade of Pale". I seem to remember being forced to put down my long awaited pint of bitter to have the dance!

Welcome! Though I've never been married and I'm (sort of) single I always thought Stevie Wonder and I Believe (when I fall in love) will be the one for a soppy slow dance...followed by the You & Me song by The Wannadies to jump around to :)

I too missed this first time around, so FWIW .. I had Richard Marx - Right Here Waiting

We also put together a CD of our favourites for the DJ to play for us later in the evening .. the first track was Korn - Blind which, unbeknown to the idiot DJ, has a very stuttery start, he thought the disc was scratched and binned it .. stupid fekker !!!!!!

Is there any truth in the rumour canveyshrimper had Beethoven playing at his wedding .. and i don't mean just a CD either ;)

I really wanted Landslide by Stevie Nicks.......but had to bow to my beloved and....Gulp, we had our first dance to

Michael Mcmanus All This Time

I'm pleased to say I have no idea who, or what Michael McManus is. Does he play bagpipes?

Looks like a big set of Bag Pipes.....

Remember that portly Scottish girl who one some ghastly singing competition thingy....like XX factor or something like that.....

Look in the dictionary under one Hit wonder and there she is staring back at you!!

You should listen to Landslide by Stevie Nicks....she was fit and a really good singer.

I'm getting married in June, if Ninja brings me back safely from Bratislava that is.

My musical knowledge is nil, my dancing ability is -10 and the dorris choose 'I Love You Baby' by Andy Williams. Still least I can throw a few shapes to the quick parts, then prop up the bar for the rest of the night.

Great song! Not very smoochy though, didn't it feature in an advert some time back with a load of guys serenading down a phone?

If anything like me.....I was more panicking all day long about doing my speech, i am terrible at standing up and doing public speaking, although with your job i am sure that will not present a problem
