I've met a fair few but I sat next to Steve Coppell all the way to America and thanked him a couple of times for Stan Collymore :hilarious:

Didn't George Best play for Bournemouth at Roots Hall in the eighties?
George played 5 times for Bournemouh in the 1982-83 season(2wins/2draws/1defeat), 4 of the matches were played at Dean Court, his only away match was played at Roots Hall on 16th.April 1983(0-0). the attendance was 4,275 this was about the fourth highest gate of that season(Orient was top 5,138). This was the final ever league match that George Best played in. After we played "The Cherries" we had just 2 home games left Walsall & Oxford United which drew gates of 1,904 & 1,954.

I met Marco Boogers in Rio back in 2007 the guy was a complete fruit cake and was talking to himself at the bar.

Was on my way home from the 1990 World Cup and Bobby Robson and Trever Brooking were on the flight, they were willing to speak to everyone. I must say that Bobby Robson was one of the nicest people I have met a real Gentleman.
