Not a question, starts.

We all know he is the best striker we have available.

He is going to be buzzing to get back in the goals

What a bizarre thing to say !?

It happened to Doug Gilmour when he returned to the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2003 (after leaving in 1997). He was our former captain and hero and lasted only 2 shifts into his first game on his return before injuring his knee. That was his final game in the NHL. Here are a couple of links. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aYLAei1rFI (his injury upon return) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TxuP8OS_IGE (youtube tribute).

Personally I think Freddy should be given the chance to start, he is well proven in this league and hopefully he can resurrect his career with us. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a great loan spell and a long term contract after that. He brought us fans so much to cheer about and I'm ecstatic about his return.

Common sense dictates that, as we have been ok scoring away from home, Freddy sits on the bench to start with. Blend him back in during the match.

If he starts, I'd love to hear the crowd do a countdown from 7, followed by an "awwww" if he doesn't score. Apart from anything else, making a joke about it could relieve some of the pressure on Freddy

There will certainly be a happier than usual atmosphere in the 'away end' regardless of whether he starts or comes off the bench. And if and when he starts a warm up off of the bench.............
