'ere, you young and trendy types?

Where can I listen to music online for free? My usual favourite www.pandora.com is playing silly buggers* and XFM Online is playing too many damn adverts. I can't get my online music library to work** and I'm lost, floundering in the silence.

Any ideas?

* - This is probably Windows Vista ****ing it up again

** - Do you know, it wouldn't surprise me if this was Windows Vista either.

I'm neither young or trendy, but I can use Pandora no probs on XP so it might be Vista. Vista does have this DRM protection thingy where it won't let you copy files that it thinks you've flounced from allofmp3.com (now sadly in its death throes  ) so it might be that.

I got this 1 GB creative mp3 player that doubles up as a USB memory stick. It's the mutts, keep all my music on there.

As for music this afternoon, Virgin Radio have a live feed but like XFM you get adverts in the way.

Oh, God bless you Naps. I just typed in 'Lemonheads' and now 'It's A Shame About Ray' is filling my headphones.

It's just possible that I might get this Faroe Islands - Scotland preview written now.

The Faroe Islands going on-nil up on the Sweats in 1999 was one of my 100 Greatest Sporting Moments.

The greatest sporting moment of all time has to be the Zaire defender who didn't understand the concept of a free-kick.

The two Gillingham defenders knocking each other out (when they had already used up their subs) and still managing to loop the header into their own goal would also be in my top 10.

In Vista I use the sidebar to host a radio player "gadget" which allows me to listen to about 40 different channels, including Radio 1 -4, Virgin etc .

Works really well.
