so anyone know what occured with this, any protests? how many? good not to hear anything during the game (I sit in the west family)

I was in the east and only think I saw was a flag in the west by the blues voice, with it saying king must go or something like that.

According to BBC Essex a "selected band" of "supporters" unfurled a banner bearing the legend King Out. They were still there when the floodlights were switched off occasioning the stewards to work overtime. Haven't they heard there's a credit crunch on? :)

As protests go, I thought it was pretty lame. The majority of the West close to the North Bank couldnt have given a F**k about King out etc, especially when the second went in. I also got fed up with the "only one Alex Revell chants". I liked the fella, but he never set the world alight, and I was more concerned with chanting for the players who were on the pitch

I have to day I didn't see much of a protest, and I've heard only a handful of people got involved. Considering what everyone has been saying on here about Mr King etc the protest was a bit of a shambles. Whoever organised it couldn't organise a **** up in a brewery!

But maybe he could spell it.

I had a one man protest, whereby i refused to have onions in my cheeseburger.

There should have been an anti-Echo protest! I wouldn't wipe my *** with that paper! (too rough for starters!)

That reminds me..
I asked for onions on me hot daaawg last night in the East and was told they don't do them anymore. Possibly the only real healthy thing on the menu or "meal deal" is taken off!

You can't have been in the West stand then. It reminded me of Wapping in 1986 in there and I was pleased to escape intact.

Despite the lack of visible protest, the protest, Geoff King, financial woes, and lack of players got a mention on the FL show on BBC on saturday night.

Does anyone know how many people were involved in the protest, and did they actually decide what they were protesting against ??
