Gardening

Do you want a permanent screen? If so, then trachelospernum jasminoides is a lovely evergreen climber, with scented jasmine like flowers. It will need a trim on occasion though, as it can grow quite large if left.

Actinidia could look quite nice on there, or how about a rose? The rose 'Gertrude jekyll' isn't too vigorous, and has masses of really nice scented pink flowers. I think Clematis sieb. 'florida' may be a bit too small for that spot, though Clematis cartmanii 'fragrant oberon' could be a good option.

Personally, I'm thinking Trachelospernum jasminoides now

or, why not try growing an espaliered apple tree? Anything on an M27 rootstock will grow to a maximum of around 6' (M9 will give you a bit more vigour, but should still be ok) and you'll get free fruit!

Actually I'm not sure if it is a clematis?!
Think it is. Montana I think? Some clematis are quite vigorous and I assumed MK meant a trellis against a wall, not as it shows in the photo. Not sure if a clematis might be too heavy for it? Paul, google "climbing plants" then pick one you like!

yep, looks a Montana to me. Could be tetrarose?

If you do google and find one you like Paul, then feel free to pm me for advice, it's my day job!
