Sounds like a great idea to me! It all adds more money in the coffers and the 50 tickets to donate to a local school per player sponsorship is an excellent idea...
The only downside is that it would limit the number of individual fans who could sponsor their own player - but this is a business, and in my opinion we should not turn down a chance to earn £1500 per player (or something like that) to invest in the club, when we currently only get £300 (ish) just so that individual fans can take out those sponsorships.
Individual fans could still show their support by joining SUSCT, sponsoring a youth team player, signing up to the 'quid a goal' scheme and sponsoring bluebelles/match balls/officials/corner flags/goalposts/turnstile operators etc etc...
