As ShrimperZone is a fountain of knowledge, I thought I'd ask to see whether anyone knows how much it would cost to hire a van from say Friday morning to Sunday night.... It'd be going overseas (Essex to The Netherlands) if that makes any difference. I've spent a while doing googling searches etc, but no where will just give me a rough estimate and all the websites keep wanting me to fill in god knows what survey to give me a call back !! I just want a price - not a survey :headbang:

EDIT - I should also add that the van can't be a miniture one, but also doesn't need to be particularly massive either.... You know - just your regular size to get in a few bits & pieces.... :)

Does your work do preferable hiring rates with a international company?
One of my former places did this with Europcar/Europvan and I hired one for moving locally.

If they do, it might assist with the need to take out a cross-border rental.

Steves Self hire are pretty cheep. based in southend near warners bridge

Drive & Go in Progress Road - van weekend price range from £86 to £134 + 30% surcharge for European use + cost of breakdown cover, price includes 300 'free' miles after that its 6p per mile.

Probably loads of other firms as well, I bet prices are similar.
