Anyone seen this film? Just watched it and by far the best film of the year (although it came out at the cinema in late 2007). Worth watching and a brilliant soundtrack by Eddie Vedder too add.

Yep I saw it a few weeks ago and promptly bought it on dvd. Emile Hersch is excellent in it and it's a true story too, think I'll look for the book to read which is based on his diaries.

The book is superb. A really baffling read (not in the way it's written, but trying along with the author to unravel McCandless' thought processes and motivations). Haven't seen the film yet, as I'm always loathe to do that after reading the book.

I'll make a note to definately read it then. The film is excellent, jumps around time frames quite a bit, uses diary extracts etc. gardually reveals some of the events that shaped his view of the world, Really well done I thought.
