iPhone Screen Repair - Southend

I've recently dropped my iPhone 3GS and have cracked the glass screen, but it is in full working order apart from that.

Having looked on a few websites, I could post it off and have it repaired for around £20-£35, but obviously that can be quite inconvenient. Is there anywhere in Southend that does it for a similar price? I phoned Buzz Box in Victoria Circus who quoted me £65, which seems extortionate in comparison.

Could anybody please recommend me a shop in Southend or a reliable site they've used before to get a cheap repair done?

I was mistaken in thinking I could get it done for £20 online, that was for a new screen and not repair, so the cheapest I've found online is £35. An expensive drop :thumbdown:

Try The Phonery which is opposite the BP near Chalkwell Park. They recently fixed the mute switch on mine for £25 and it was done in just over an hour.

Superb recommendation, they were by far the cheapest of the ones I called at £40 and it took just 15 minutes to do. Cheers Eastblack.

A friend of mine did his on iPhone 4 himself after buying a screen on eBay.... said it wasn't too difficult in the end. The beauty of YouTube!

O2 rang me two days ago asking if I wanted an upgrade as had phone over 18 months. Said no and asked if I could reduce contract and did so, was chuffed.

Today my son tripped over in drive whilst holding phone and shattered the glass. Not happy.

Glad I came across this thread though, will give the shop a go.

Just got back from the Phonery, did it whilst I waited and now sorted.

Watching the chap do it it was pretty straight forward up until when he had to remove the glass. It then looked very fiddly and he spent a fair time having to scrape the old screen and glue off the frame so glad I didnt opt to do it myself.
