BtD stated an opinion based on what's happening with a current event that the public the world over is debating. He also offered three options including 'not guilty', 'not sure' and 'guilty'.

I fail to see the problem here.

Now... if BtD were to dream of SUFC players scoring with their bottoms, and liking it to a homosexual experience... that would be another matter.

The content and quality of your reply speaks volumes and does nothing but reinforce my original impression of you. 'Free speech', apparently is only your domain as you lambasted me for mine. Furthermore I do not write from behind the safety of my keyboard and I do have the conviction of my beliefs, however 'patronising' you feel that is. Should you wish to meet me personally please pm me and I shall make arrangements. Perhaps then you will have the decency to uphold your convictions and call me a 'pr*ck' to my face. There was a certain element of poor taste to the poll, perhaps - and I certainly subscribe to the concept of "innocent until proven guilty", rather than the current trial-by-media to which we have all been subjected. It is a shame, perhaps, that Barry has already pre-judged Jackson. But Barry is entitled to his view of the man.

However, rabbloke, whilst I may agree with your point of view, I thought the way in which you put it was more than a tad sanctimonious.

I don't think much is to be gained by squaring up to each other on this thread, so let's agree to disagree on this one and move on, please.

I’m sure over the next few weeks over a few beers this topic will be brought up. What do you talk about down the pub apart from ballet and different types of flowers? In your so-called calmness, however, it regrettably appears that you are unable to recognise an attempt at jocularity which was attempting to diffuse the situation.

As for "disgusting and abusive" - well, "disgusting" is an entirely subjective term; and the abuse was frankly not undeserved, given the remarkably sanctimonious tone of your first post.
