Transfer News, Gossip & Speculation James Morton Signs

Transfer news
Welcome James! Hopefully the first of 2 or 3 before kick off tomorrow. What an atmosphere there will be at the game .. fantastic that we’re bringing in players and one thing we can guarantee is that they’ll have been well scouted - and will hopefully add to what we have built both on and off the pitch. This lad is apparently well thought of.

How refreshing is it to see another club say this about our club at last? View attachment 30501

I’m sure we had similar things said from Kettering for Powell and Chorley for Cards too.

TL does things properly. It’s a shame he has been let down when it’s come to payments being made however.

Can’t confess to have seen him play, or know the ins and outs of him, but on paper it looks a terrific signing.

Good age, upward trajectory, fits in with our profile, and a decent length contract. Ticks a lot of boxes.

Another positive is that being at Bristol City for 10 years early in his career, he won't be phased about coming to a larger ex league club, he'll know what is expected within the set up in general.

I remember Kings Langley being very complimentary of TL when we signed Wood:

"I would also like to thank Southend, and in particular CEO Tom Lawrence, for the way they conducted themselves and how respectful they have been to us during the process of the transfer."

Bloody hell how many Xmas presents are we going to get 🤗 it's wonderful to see positive posts on here after all the doom and gloom we have all had to endure for so long 💙
