Wow haven't some of our fans become snobs. We have never won this competition before. I would love to see us win it.

Some great memories in recent times of beating col u, orient n qpr in this competition.

What an idiots if they don't fancy a Wembley trip! We are 3 wins away from a return to Wembley and we now in a higher division, so we might have a great shot at winning a trophy for first time ever!

And I am just thinking we have already surpassed ourselves this season - the scum are in the relegation zone, we aren't, and we are in the second round and they were dumped out last night... Happy days!!

Apart from the 1981 Div 4 Champions and the 2005 (or so) League One champions?

Let's hope you're still saying that in May.

Quietly confident - think we will find the groove and do ok this year. ColU, I believe, are a different story. Much as our lack of goals is a worry, their back 4 are scarily dodgy!

Cue the reverse of 2006!

I think it is a good thing. First of all we're in to the next round without doing anything and secondly its one less game where the only aim this season is staying in league 1.
If that is SUFC ONLY AIM THIS SEASON ,THEN TO MY MIND WE HAVE THE WRONG MAN IN CHARGE, SHOULD BE LOOKING TO DO AS WELL AS POSSIBLE IN ANY COMPETITION WE ARE ENTERED INTO.

Without stating the obvious, I would love for another excuse to have yet another Wembley day out again, and the JPT gives us that best opportunity, thats be honest, were realistically not going to make the FA Cup final.

That being said, league survival is my personal preference this year over winnning the JPT, however I would like to see us play Ted smith & perhaps young Williams in the early rounds to see if they are up to speed at playing at that level, as well as giving some key 1st team members a bit of a rest.

The best that can come out of it, is that PB has a selection headache if the young untried and untested perform well and progress.
The worst that can out of it, is that we go out in the earlier rounds and then can go back to concentrating on the league, with less additional cup games that they have to play.

What are you on about? Our first goal of this season should be to remain a league one side. If anyone expects a promoted league 2 side should be expecting promotion the next season they are delusional. Even more so if they don't watch us, they wouldn't have a clue.

I watch us, and whilst I may often have delusional moments, I expect us to be in the mix for promotion until statistically it is impossible. Half full, half empty, I guess.

We earned in excess of £300,000 when we got to the final before. I can't believe some are totally disregarding that fact. Nome of us know how much difference that made to the club last time

How much we earn has no bearing on whether the competition creates any passion in supporters.

I loved getting there before so we could get to Wembley for the experience but I still didn't care if we won or lost.

Having been to Wembley twice I really need more than 'going to Wembley' to motivate me. The game has to mean something and the JPT just doesn't.

Fair enough but would you think Brown was the wrong man for the job if we finished mid table?

Pretty much sums up this place that people are actually saying they DONT want to see us play at Wembley....:whistling:
