Joined the board as I'm interested in how the Blues are doing, and reading various opions of the supporters. Left Southend about 30 years ago and lived in Kent since. Been back to Roots Hall a few times over the years, and away games at Gillingham and Wycombe (when I used work there), plus had to take my lad up to Cardiff for the JPT final as my old man (rip) always promised me that if Southend ever got to Wemble,y he would take me, so had to reciprocate with my lad.

Used to enjoy the Friday night up the North Bank, and my favourite chant was back in 77/78 when we used to chant " we're going to close the watford gap tonight".

I'm sure that there a couple of old boys on this board that I was in the same year at school (SHSFB) with, I know that Kevin Hogg has posted, and Bob Sills probably does.

Hopefully, I will contribute to the forum overtime, even though I follow West Ham (expects a bit of a slagging off).

Cheers,

Nick
