Breaking News Liverpool seal deal for Southend youngster

Where did this come from please John?.

From The Times dated 12th of September

By Tony Barrett

At the end of his piece about new sponsorship deal for Liverpool FC.

Very, very interesting.

I for one hadn't heard of him, and I'm amazed we can get 250k for any youngster. Assume some of that is add-ons and 250k is the maximum we'll get, who knows though.

Hoping we have a % sell-on, but with us needing money now, do you think we opted for more money now with no future return?

Good luck to the lad, will watch his progress carefully.

Thumbs up to Ricky Duncan & co once again!

We might have taken the £250k without any add ons because we need the cash now and are willing to take that risk that he doesnt end up a multi million pound superstar.

Exactly

I think that any player transferred under 17 should automatically have a 10% (or more?) profit sell-on in the deal. Makes sense to me.

I am sure there is a sell on within the deal. The club isn't stupid. Never heard of him but good luck and its nice to see what an excellent youth set up we have.

The inflated initial fee leads me to believe there isn't...

Like Sam said earlier on in the thread, seen him in ressys games. However, noticed him far less than the likes of Forshaw, great bit of business I think.
