Players I remember from my early days @ Grainger Road:
Harry Threadgold, Williamson, Stirling/Sheard, Anderson, Duthie, Lawler, Sibley, McAlinden, Grant, Wakefield/Stubbs & Bainbridge.

That brilliant forward line when we moved to Roots Hall:
Errol Crossan, Sam McCrory, Roy Hollis, Kevin Baron & John McGuigan ... loads of goals! :Worthy:

Cant match some on here, but 60 years not bad, Harry Theadgold used to take me for PE, and I used to sneek off school on a wednesday afternoon to watch the blues reserve team, mind you its always been a heart in your mouth club.

I sat next to Damian McCrory, son of Sam, at Westcliff High (posh kid!) and asked him to get the Liverpool players autographs after the 2-3 replay loss at RH. The team refused as their star player Billy Liddell had been kicked up in the air once too often by Jimmy Stirling the uncompromising Blues stopper. I was gutted as Tommy Younger their keeper was my hero. Ah Memories! COYBB
