FC begins today and we're playing last season's champs LG. With Bendigo carrying a £2m+ wagebill the rest of us are playing for 2nd. LG still have two NTs so have me outgunned. Bit of a disaster dropping to 40-3 but we've recovered a bit. Hopefully we can at least get a batting point on the board. Expecting to lose though.

Got a really tough draw away to go out in the 1st round! :'(
We managed to recover but fell annoying short of a second batting point. Next two partnerships are vital to the course of the game. If we can nab them cheaply we should have a first innings lead with sun today and PCH tomorrow. If they build some runs (as our middle order did after being 34-3 yesterday) we could find ourselves having to defend a draw in the bowling conditions. Like us they've loaded the middle order with their best bats so could be a tough day.

Great start to the FC campaign for me winning by 191 runs away from home!
Fell frustratingly short of the win. We were too slow in the morning and didn't give ourselves enough overs, though too many more may have allowed them to chase so all a case of what if. Frustrating that in PCH on an uneven day 3 pitch we couldn't bowl them out as quickly as we did in the sun.
