Now now chaps.

BB comes over from Barcelona for one match and he sees Corr put in an awful performance (as confirmed by both Corr and Sturrock).

One match isn't much of a sample but it's all he's got.

Think yourselves lucky you get to see more than 2 games in a season and quit the personal abuse

To be fair if he's going to form such an opinion based on such little evidence then that opinion is going to be criticised. I've only seen two matches myself this season but I've made a consious decision not to form much of an opinion either way on the playing side until I've seen them more.

It certainly was. :) That is, until the cyber warriors seized on a throwaway remark, made in response to a comment by Shrimpero........on Moshni.

And I was impressed with both him and Corr on Saturday. I don't think Bazza will get us 'loadsagoals' - as per David Crown's self-celebratory remarks back in '88 after the Blackpool triumph on the last day of the season - but his style of play reminded me of Crowny's erstwhile strike partner, Super Roy McDonough. Donut didn't score many, but he was a very useful player "at this level."

Quite right Ray the personal abuse has got well out of hand on this thread

FWIW, I think I called it right against Morecambe.Corr's performance was awful. The "mistake" I made was to extrapolate from that and say he is useless.Mea culpa. That's not a retraction BTW but it is (I hope) a clarification.

Indeed... Particularly when Barry Corr is far from useless.

Yup.He's the poor man's Peter Crouch. But as Shrimpero says he could turn out to be a very useful striker indeed "at our level."
There's also a big difference BTW(IMO)between giving an honest opinion(well informed or not)and dishing out personal abuse.

The whole team were awful in that game!

Corr was certainly the least effective Ive seen in that match though, won very little in the air, which he normally does well at.

Personal abuse makes the world go round. Particularly when BarnaBlue is on the receiving end.

You had the balls to take the bet.Chapeau.As far as I'm concerned this "debate" is over until the end of the season(or at least until Corr recovers from injury)!
BTW I don't generally do personal abuse. I prefer rational argument or even opinion. It's far more civilised.I've noticed on the Politics Forum that you have a tendency to dish out abuse rather than sustain your opinions with relevant arguments.I do hope that won't be the case here too.
