New Stadium update

But I don't think Ron's homes will be very much different from those homes . I am sure I read a council report which said they would be manufactured in a factory and assembled at Fossetts . We may have a 17,000 seat stadium that resembles the Brentford Stadium but the housing element is completely different - 1000 homes, all high end of the market up at Kew Bridge Station.
The council need to be able to offer some affordable accommodation for the local drug dealers and sex workers.

'ilke homes' that's the company name, according to my Mrs - what's the betting they're built, occupied and knocking out offspring before Ron even puts down one brick.........

I do recall a long long time ago Ron explaining that a 22,000 stadium vs a 18,000 stadium made sense as the cost per seat was significantly reduced where as extending at a later date was very expensive. From memory ( so I might have this wrong) we only needed to sell out twice a year for it financially make sense. Maybe Sheriff can add some info.

Separately, it does make me laugh when people say “ why do we need a 17,000, 20,000 stadium whatever when we are national league. Stating the bloody obvious when it’s built we will likely be playing in it for decades to come, where we are today isn’t really relevant, it’s where we “might” be in the future.

That's what they thought at Darlington!

George Reynolds (deceased)

Kingstonian were fleeced by their chairman when he bought their ground (Kingsmeadow) and later on he sold it to AFC Wimbledon and they then sold it onto Chelsea.
Kingstonian were then made homeless.

The Kingstonian manager said that the chairman had raped the club!

I wonder how many AFC Wimbledon fans felt any guilt?...None at a guess!

Don’t shoot the messenger but I’ve been told a shovel in the ground on the 4th July 🤷🏻‍♂️

By who. Paperboy, someone on the bus, or maybe the bird in the cafe.

I highly doubt that work will begin in 5 weeks time.

Probably not for this forum .. but AFC Wimbledon fans aren’t as whiter than white as they claim and some of the nastiness and bitterness directed at MK Dons fans has been way over the top. Weird bunch, not that it validates what happened which is nothing short of a ****ing disgrace and should never be allowed to happen again.
