My sister has just booked the "Marco's Bar" in Rayleigh for New Years eve for 8 of us. Sounds a bit early to book but these days you have to get in early.

£60 per ticket, hot and cold Tapas Buffet, free drink from 8pm until 1:30am, free champagne at 12am and a live band called "Old Hat"

Never been there before or heard of the band but i am sure i could do more than £60 worth of booze in 5 1/2 house so it sounds good to me.

What are your plans??

snowboarding in tignes, festival on the slope i've been told for NYE

Based on my last visit to Tignes/Val D'Isere, I hope you're not going to need that kidney you'll be selling. Watch out for pesky thieving ***** too. Similar story for Chamonix but slightly cheaper.

The Euro's appreciated against the pound too. Yikes.

I've not planned anything yet although talk of house party in Devon seems good enough for me. Then again, talk of a Zoolander party is intriguing. I can't work out whether it sounds terrible or brilliant.

I'll either be at home having a quiet one, or watching the fireworks from rooms overlooking the Thames, depending on what Mother Nature has in store for me and the missus...!

:)

Going up to Scotland to celebrate it the way it should be done. Cracking atmosphere up there and would recommend it to anyone
