Warren looks set to join Fisher on a free. Till did not offer him a 2 year deal because that would have put him in the "comfort zone". They have brought in Andy Edwards who "will play 40 games a season and that is something Mark has never done".

Tilly has also discovered that Leons agent was touting him to a number of clubs at Christmas-time. In fact in December he tried to sort out a pre-contract agreement with Hull who eventually declined.

Jay also will miss the first part of the season due to having an op to remove the metal plate from his foot. He will not be seen until at least September.

IIRC Warren played 39 games last season!

That statement is a tad unfair IMHO!

I presume Tilly was referring to league games. Warren started 27 and was substitute a further 5 times.

I don't want to single him out but he was pretty cr*p for the first third of the season.

...and fantastic in the final third. I am sad to see him go to be honest and think we should have come to an arrangement, assuming his attitude his right in training etc.

Who's to say the club didn't try and come to an agreement? Maybe what he wanted was just more than the club/Tilly were ready to offer.
