Tempted to close this as the stories are too harrowing.

The story about the dogs nose is incredibly distressing, mainly because someone left a comment "how does it smell?" and no one followed up with the punchline.

Terrible.

That is truly dismal that not one reader followed up in the comments section, even my six year old knows that pun.
 
The Little Echoes section of The Evening Echo did a good job of chronicling minor vandalism and petty larceny in the region.

One particular entry reported that two milk bottles had been smashed by vandals.
