At least ron probably wouldnt have had kargbo as first choice striker.Nah ! What if he’s Ron ??
I strongly suspect it is !Nah ! What if he’s Ron ??
He's also following Darren Currie and Mark Bentley too......Stan is following Dean Keates on Twitter. We should not read too much into that, but I think Keates has already demonstrated he is no mug when it comes to managing in the National League and probably has the best years ahead of him.
I really can’t see that being true somehow.Blimey they're taking a gamble
I would absolutely love this to happen.Neil Harris and Adam Barrett. Worked together before. Also two Southend fans who would give blood, sweat and tears to bring back credibility to our club (and a long awaited turn around in our fortunes)
I’ll take currie manager Keates assistant Bentley first team coachHe's also following Darren Currie and Mark Bentley too......
Mark Bentley would be an interesting pick. He certainly seems to be doing the business at Canvey. But I have a feeling, given Stan's statement about the search for a manager, that the Committee are particularly targetting managers which have demonstrated they have a good track record in the National LeagueHe's also following Darren Currie and Mark Bentley too......

Why Keates?Keates for me. But not on the list.
Indeed, Keates was dismissed as Walsall manager in April 2019. This followed winning just three, drawing three and losing 14 of his last 20 games as manager. Why Keates?
I’ve seen his name mentioned a few times but I know next to nothing about him as a manager (was a good player) and a cursory glance at his wiki page seems unremarkable.
This would be the dream but even if they wanted to come, I just think it's not the right time for them, they'd have too much to lose. Especially Adam Barrett as one of the most popular players in a long time.Neil Harris and Adam Barrett. Worked together before. Not sure he's a big enough name for bluesStan is following Dean Keates on Twitter. We should not read too much into that, but I think Keates has already demonstrated he is no mug when it comes to managing in the National League and probably has the best years ahead of him.
For me, how big their name is doesn't matter 1 jot, it's moving Blues forward that is crucial. Not sure he's a big enough name for blues
Show me a manager that doesnt have a bad record on their CV at some point (NOT PEP! NOT PEP! lol).Indeed, Keates was dismissed as Walsall manager in April 2019. This followed winning just three, drawing three and losing 14 of his last 20 games as manager.
