Tough away game to kick off the season to someone in my FC league who I typically beat in FC and lose in OD - he wasn't prepared to make it easy for me in FC so we're at full strength here and game is in the balance. Could do with Vusi getting out as Westcarr will push RR along

End of Over 24: 97-1, runrate=4.04, reqrunrate=5.08 (228-4)

Collis 7-1-26-0

Adriaan* 49 (62 balls)
Vusi 46 (79 balls)

Ha Ha - this is freakily more than co-incidence and puts me 2nd favourite

27.4 W Collis to Westcarr

Collis's faster ball was too good for Westcarr, that delivery has removed middle and leg stump. With a wry grin, the batsman begins his walk back to the pavilion, swinging his bat.

27.3 W Collis to Vusi

Vusi practises bolting the stable door while Bignot starts to reset the stumps.

End of Over 33: 147-2, runrate=4.45, reqrunrate=4.41 (221-5)
Hodgson 7-0-28-0
Livermore* 44 (62 balls)
Sobers 60 (86 balls)
Last Wicket: Garai c. Stoltz b. Bangura 38 (FOW: 60/2)

It going to be a close finish, would be an epic win away from home against one of the best teams in the division.

End of Over 34: 151-3, runrate=4.44, reqrunrate=4.44 (221-5)
Bangura 7-0-38-2
Cronin* 1 (1 balls)
Livermore 47 (66 balls)
Last Wicket: Sobers c. Beckett b. Bangura 60 (FOW: 150/3)

Damn it lost my best batsmen!

End of Over 45: 199-6, runrate=4.42, reqrunrate=4.60 (221-5)
Joost 8-1-22-2
Wasserman* 2 (5 balls)
Cherry 5 (11 balls)
Last Wicket: Cronin b. Joost 17 (FOW: 192/6)

And that's the end of the match. Deep Backward Square Leg won by 4 wickets.
Stir XI 221-5
Deep Backward Square Leg 223-6

End of Over 49: 223-6, runrate=4.55
Joost 9-1-32-2
Wasserman* 7 (14 balls)
Cherry 24 (24 balls)

Get in, well happy with that!:happy::happy:

Hunte 84 (96 balls)
Last Wicket: Dickson c. Rao b. Lendore 29 (FOW: 70/1)

I keep forgetting about the franchise! We appear to be biffing it home which I would expect given that you've only just got your team.

End of Over 42: 244-1, runrate=5.81, reqrunrate=5.62 (288-3)
Craig 9-0-44-0
Etwaroo* 40 (26 balls)
Rao 104 (125 balls)
Last Wicket: Lesporis c. Hunte b. Wood 93 (FOW: 170/1)

Important win for the senior team, now for a big cup game. So many big games in Week 1!!

First of 5 games against Legendary Knights this season. They hold a lot of wagebill but our games are normally pretty close.

Not batting quickly but it's bowlingfriendly so at least we haven't lost wickets.

End of Over 20: 75-1, runrate=3.75
Ahmed 3-1-9-0
Guneratne* 34 (36 balls)
Lamey 25 (57 balls)

Last Wicket: Sinethemba b. Payne 15 (FOW: 21/1)

25th OD 5fer for Blinkhorn as we win comfortably. See Nuts in the SZ league last season has just gone bot. Makes my prospects of top 4 OD while focussing on FC all the easier. Would love to know whether he overstretched or just got bored.

Away to a relegated team much too strong for this division. Rested those with fitness issues apart from the all rounder who was sublime so hopefully not too much damage done. Wickets falling quickly too which helps.

ShrimperZone CC v The Spankers

SZFL team Spankers are £1m in debt and selling two players to try to rescue themselves. Alas they end tonight (and I think they've listed too high to rescue themselves!) so are playing and we're making and we're batting rather tamely for H&F and sunny.

End of Over 21: 87-1, runrate=4.14
Hemachandra 1-0-3-0
Cunningham* 45 (66 balls)
Guneratne 28 (46 balls)

Last Wicket: Sinethemba Run Out 13 (FOW: 30/1)
