Amersham CC v ShrimperZone CC

Standard boring strangle the life out of them tactics. Their uber bats are at 3 and 4 (300k and 200k), don't have much else other than them batting wise. So if we can remove one of them, we should be chasing a low total. HHH rests as he's on fresh, so it's Gustav back in and a GFI.

End of Over 7: 20-1, runrate=2.86
Digana 4-0-7-1
Nickson* 5 (13 balls)
Carrick 15 (25 balls)

Last Wicket: Carragher b. Digana 0 (FOW: 0/1)

No early breakthrough's so looking like im going to have to strangle them a little here!

End of Over 10: 41-0, runrate=4.10
Mbata 5-0-29-0
Lewis* 20 (34 balls)
Grahame 21 (26 balls)

Playing Cumbrian Cougers who are at full fitness, but are sixth and have won 3 games and im GFI'ing!

Got the other gub opener so the next wicket finishes it. But that could take some time coming.

End of Over 13: 40-2, runrate=3.08
Digana 7-0-15-2
Forster* 1 (1 balls)
Carrick 25 (35 balls)

Last Wicket: Nickson b. Digana 14 (FOW: 39/2)

Red Herrings v BATTY SHRIMPERS

We take on the side in 5th today, looking for a win that will keep us top before we go into the last 3 games against the sides immediately below us. Full strength side out on a GFI, despite having some PFL probs. Picked up an early wicket, but Job got smashed for 38 off his opening 5 overs, not good enough for a Masterful / Exquisite  Got a bad vibe about today....

We can tell you that BATTY SHRIMPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a little uneven. Should be tough for the batsmen on this sunny day.

End of Over 13: 60-1, runrate=4.62
Singh 7-1-21-1
Boyle* 22 (24 balls)
Bvunzawabaya 22 (38 balls)

Last Wicket: Morrison b. Singh 14 (FOW: 19/1)

Seaside Special v DIBS DIPPERS

2nd placed Mrs BB takes on the side in 4th today. She can't win this division now, and has already secured her FC league, so, as indicated on the FC thread, she's started to rebuild her team. Consequently, I can't see her winning today.

We can tell you that DIBS DIPPERS won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking a touch on the green side. All the seam bowlers have been out there rubbing their hands on this sunny day.

End of Over 14: 67-1, runrate=4.79
Kealey 2-0-7-0
Brush* 33 (35 balls)
Prasad 12 (14 balls)

Last Wicket: Sinethemba b. Eagles 22 (FOW: 48/1)

Got the other gub opener so the next wicket finishes it.
Mario did the business getting Carrick out and as expected the rest are following fairly rapidly.

End of Over 18: 62-5, runrate=3.44
Graham 4-0-19-1
Forster* 20 (18 balls)
Otsemobor 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Kerwin b. Graham 1 (FOW: 62/5)

Park Avenue CC v Southend United

We can tell you that Southend United won the toss and elected to bat. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this partially cloudy day.

1st vs 5th, on a GFI but off to a slow start

End of Over 18: 64-0, runrate=3.56
Barker 4-1-3-0
Marney* 23 (70 balls)
Joost 35 (39 balls)

An all too familiar pattern with me starting out at 5 an over for the first ten overs, then the run-rate dropping down and down and just crawling along despite a destructive batsman at the crease.

Elsewhere I'm getting a bit worried about my sale of Livingstone. An hour left and the bidding has dried up at just £1.07m for an exceptional-exceptional bowler with superb stamina. I know he's 31, but he's worth more than that surely?

19 users have him shortcutted so it will increase. Should get to £2m I'd imagine but not much more (I paid £3m for an exceptional/exquisite 29yo with superb stamina a couple of seasons ago).

How do you see how many users have shortcutted someone?

Oh and Andee **cough** accept your friendly as I'm fed up getting notifications telling me I've been challenged instead of people bidding on Livingstone.

Hmmm...

End of Over 38: 105-2, runrate=2.76
Barker 9-3-9-1
Tyler* 9 (29 balls)
Marney 41 (132 balls)
Last Wicket: Wright lbw b. Barker 4 (FOW: 92/2)

Up to 1.5m, so you should make at least 2m.

My lot have surprised me so far, thought we were going to lose this one today, although we still could obviously.

Eagles 10-0-70-1
Barnard* 29 (33 balls)
Mcclory 38 (34 balls)

Last Wicket: Prasad b. Kealey 77 (FOW: 189/3)

Quite pleased with this score. Flat deck on a sunny day but I've got fairly defensive bowling orders. Surprisingly we also scored 82 off the last 10!

End of Over 50: 276-1, runrate=5.52
Brittas 10-0-45-0
Raisani* 48 (46 balls)
Tsietsi 148 (170 balls)

Happy with that total chase. Wont be easy on a cloudy day and slow pitch but fingers crossed!

Deane 10-0-38-0
Grahame* 99 (157 balls)
Tindall 23 (29 balls)

Sookram* 27 (33 balls)
Waterhouse 28 (30 balls)

Last Wicket: Zamora lbw b. Kirupairajah 11 (FOW: 23/1)

Thought we'd blown this one when we stumbled to 57/3, but these 2 have turned it around nicely.
